Cora Baynard

Cora Lee Baynard, age 70, of Augusta, Georgia, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, Georgia.
Born January 24, 1944 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Barney Teseniar and Dolly McKinney Teseniar. Cora was a member of the Sherwood Baptist Church and served as the Nursery Director for many years. She enjoyed bowling, yard work and gardening.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Sammy G. Baynard; daughter, Deborah Royal and husband, Mike of Augusta; two sons, Richard Baynard and wife, Teresa of Forest City and James Eric Baynard of Freeport, Florida; one brother, Bruce Tessinear and wife, Joana of Henrietta; three sisters, Patsy Lowery and husband, Johnny of Dobbinsville, Barbara Parker and husband, Reid of Henrietta and Judy Bradley of Forest City. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Henrietta First Baptist Church with Reverend Trent Keeton officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will view the body privately in accordance to Cora's wishes.
