Craig Hodge

Craig Hodge, age 45, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at Mission Health in Asheville.

Craig was born Sunday, December 11, 1977 in Rutherford County to Ronnie Hodge and Barbara Byers Hodge who reside in Rutherfordton. He was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1996 and was a graduate of the Isothermal Community College Truck Driving School. Craig drove a semi-truck for many years and was an avid car enthusiast. He enjoyed playing football and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W. Archie and Beatrice Hodge and Katy and Gladys Byers.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish fond memories are his son, Shannon Wall; brother, Gary Hodge (Shellie) of Rutherfordton; two nieces, Julia and Camille Hodge; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.

The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 13th at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Moneyham and Reverend Tim Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
