Curtis Babb, Sr.

Curtis Babb, Sr., age 82, of Banner Elk, NC, formerly of Rutherford County, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at Life Care of Banner Elk.  Curtis was born Tuesday, March 7, 1939 in Spartanburg County, to the late Berry Thad Babb and Esther Fowler Babb. He worked as a warehouse manager for Flowers Bakery in Spartanburg for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda “Sissy” Babb; brother, Johnny Babb and sister, Shirley Wright.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Curtis “Skip” Babb, Jr. of Harris and Berry Babb (Lisa) of Forest City; brothers, Tommy Babb of Forest City and Donald Babb of Gaffney, SC. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Amber, Chris, Timothy, T.J., Megan and C.J., and ten great-grandchildren.

No formal services will be conducted.
