Daisy West

Daisy W. West, age 92, of Forest City, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at Oakland Living Center.
Daisy was born on May 21, 1918 in Rutherford County to the late Elijah Waters and Frankie Biggerstaff Waters. She worked in textiles most of her life and was the oldest living member of Caroleen United Methodist Church. She enjoyed senior citizen gatherings, her church and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Henry West and one brother, Grady Waters.
Survivors include two daughters, Merle Crawley and husband, Max, of Sandy Mush and Barbara Wilson and husband, Junior, of Mooresboro; three grandchildren, Butch Crawley and wife, Sandra, of Forest City, Lisa C. Ray and husband, Phillip, of Oak Hill, VA and Rusty Wilson of Mooresboro; six great-grandchildren, Jennifer Canipe, Justin Crawley, Jeremy Ray, Dustin Ray, Tyler Wilson and Trevor Wilson. She is also survived by one great-great-grandchild, Jaden Canipe.
