Daniel Debow

Daniel T. DeBow, age 92, of Forest City, NC, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Hospice House.
Dan was born August 3, 1919 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Daniel V. DeBow and Florence Small DeBow. He was a veteran of the US Army who served during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He retired from Goodall Rubber Company as Vice President of Sales in Trenton, NJ and retired to New Bern, NC. There he played a prestigious part in the Craven County Chamber of Commerce, helping author plans for the future. Later he served as the first Mayor of River Bend, NC. He also served on the River Bend City Council for many years. He was an avid golfer throughout his life and won many amateur tournaments. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Dan lived a life of service to others, his family and country.
