Dannie Mcdaniel

Dannie E. McDaniel, age 66, of Shelby, passed away, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland.
Born July 21, 1951 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Robert Lee McDaniel and Ruby Ervin McDaniel. Dannie worked for Cone Mills for most of his life. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed bowling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of thirty years, Barbara Jones McDaniel and a second wife, Beatrice Adams McDaniel; brother, Albert McDaniel and a sister, Lovie Blanton.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sisters, Martha "Polly" Piercy of Mooresboro and Mary Morgan of South Carolina; two brothers, Rufus McDaniel and wife, Wanda of Cliffside and Robert McDaniel of Mooresboro; step-son, Doug Piercey and fiancé, Sandy Ledford of Shelby; step-grandchild, Lisandra Piercey and a special family friend, David Ayers and wife, Nok of Mooresboro.
In honor of Dannie's life, a gathering of family and friends will be conducted from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18th at Harrelson Funeral Home.
