Danny Harold Minnich, Sr. of Henrietta, NC died Friday, November 29, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born November 2, 1944 in Kingsport, Tennessee, he was a son of the late William Minnich and Gladys Templeton Minnich. He worked in textiles most of his life and was a member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church. Danny was known as a person who gave to others and loved his family dearly. He also enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorraine Dement and Patricia Minnich and two brothers, William Minnich and Jimmy Ray Minnich.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Brenda Minnich; two sons, Danny Minnich, Jr. of Abbeville, SC and Robbie Minnich and wife, Margaret of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Sherri Moretz and husband, Chad of Vale, NC; two brothers, David Minnich and wife, Bonnie of Graham, NC and Robert Minnich of Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Marty Porter and Misty Porter; great granddaughter, Alexis Harris and a host of special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Carnell officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Floyd's Creek Baptist Church , 2004 Chase High Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
