Danny "Caveman" Putnam, age 53, of Beaver Street, Forest City, died Friday, February 16, 2018.
Born February 22, 1964 in Rutherford County, he is the son of Margaret Putnam Green of Forest City and the late Samuel Woodrow Putnam, Jr. Danny worked in textiles for many years and most recently for Broyhill Industries. He was an avid NASCAR fan and followed Kevin Harvick. He was also very gifted at drawing and a member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Wade Green and one brother, Gary Wayne Putnam.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Lindsey Putnam (Micah Murray) of Ellenboro; sister, Robin Powell and fiancé, Ed Cole of Sandy Mush and brother, Jackie Putnam and wife, Joy of Cliffside.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Goodes Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Hubert Street and Reverend Chad Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
