Darold Crawford

Darold Crawford, age 75, of Rutherfordton, NC and formerly of Waynesville, NC, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Darold was born March 8, 1938 in Jackson County, NC to the late Walter B. Crawford and Mamie Coats Crawford. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked in textiles most of his life. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Waynesville and enjoyed fishing and camping.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his first wife, Brenda Lenora Crawford and his second wife, Sally Ann Crawford; sister, Carolyn Shuler and two brothers, Billy Wayne Crawford and James Crawford.
Survivors include two daughters, Gwelda Crawford of Rutherfordton and Renee Crawford of Forest City; three sons, Ricky Crawford and David Crawford both of Ellenboro and Darold Crawford and wife, Angela of Union Mills; three brothers, Harold Crawford of Waynesville, Bobby Crawford and wife, Ann of Ft. Myers, FL and Junior Crawford and wife, Stella of Traveler's Rest, SC; three sisters, Evadene Merritt of Franklin, NC, Linda Gail Morgan of Orlando, FL and Lucille Edwards and husband, Jr. of La Pine, Oregon. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend Kenneth Rhineheart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
