David C. Silvers, age 67, of Mooresboro, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Atrium Health – Cleveland.
David was born Saturday, October 17, 1953 in Rutherford County to the late George Carl Silver and Lillian Irene Lancaster. He was graduate of Chase High School, class of 1971. He served honorably in the U.S. Army. David worked and retired from Wellington Hamrick, Inc., a concrete company where he was a cement truck driver. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed yard work, cutting grass and piddling with cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donaleen G. Silvers; daughter, Pamela Miller, and brother, Dewitt Silver.
Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Joanie Silvers West of Forest City; sons, James Garren (Trisha) of Tabor City, NC, Teddy Lovelace (Lesley) of Cliffside; brothers, Donald Silver (Jetty) of Clyde, NC, Norris Silver and life partner (Judy Bradley) of Forest City; sisters, Brenda Anthony (Randy) of Boiling Springs, NC, Janice Swink (Don) of Harris; grandchildren, Cynthia, Amber, Kasey, Felicia, Kelicia, Hollee, Syrenty, Journey, and a special grandson whom he raised Gerald L. Miller of Mooresboro. Also, he had a host of great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service .
