Dean Frashier, age 66, of Jack McKinney Road, Forest City, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.
Dean was born April 7, 1954 in Rutherford County to the late Joe Clark Frashier and Demmie Henson Frashier. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1972 and worked as a mechanic for Duke Power for twenty years. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and a member of the Marion Moose Family Center Post #1705. He raced at Harris Speedway for over twenty years and enjoyed fishing and boating.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Glen Frashier, James Frashier, Marvin Frashier, Joyce Jones, Jean Hopper, Mary Lou Duncan and Louise Sprouse.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of forty-four years, Deborah Frashier; daughter, Gwendolyn Frashier Walker (Chad) of Forest City; son, James Clayton Frashier (Sarah) of Ellenboro; five grandchildren, Chase Alexander Frashier, Steven Scott Brunson, Ezra Drew Frashier, Abigail Grace Frashier and Arrie Gail Walker; five sisters, Marlene Adams of Rutherfordton, Wilma Epley of Forest City, Margaret McCombs of Forest City, Judy Epley of Rutherfordton, Brenda Jackson of Rutherfordton and a brother, Crayton Frashier of Rutherfordton.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Scott Moneyham officiating.
