Denise Helen Wilson Morrow, age 53, of Forest City, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Denise was born May 9, 1963 in Kearney, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Gus and Earlyne Wilson. She was a graduate of South Sioux City High School in Nebraska, class of 1982. After graduation, Denise entered the U.S. Army where she proudly served her country for six years. She then followed her husband to Fort Bragg, NC and eventually moved to Forest City. Denise was a great caregiver, having helped many people over the last twenty-four years as she worked for Rutherford Hospital (CHC-Carolina Home Care). She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed crocheting. Denise learned her crocheting skill from her Grandma Harris who took her into her home for many years. She was a proud Veteran who greatly supported the military.
Survivors include her loving husband of thirty-two years, Jimmy Morrow; daughter, Jayme Bradshaw and son, Jeremy Morrow both of Forest City; four grandchildren, Kneuhmyuh, I'jayuh, Jazzuhuyuh and Elijuh; eight brothers and sisters and a "ton" of nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Carl Ramsey. Military honors will be rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Her ashes will be taken to Nebraska and distributed by her brother, David Wilson of Minnesota. David and Denise grew up together.
