Dennis Cooper

Dennis Cooper, age 70, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at his residence.

Dennis was born Sunday, June 10, 1951 in Rutherford County to Sue Dobbins Cooper who resides in Forest City and the late Charlie Cooper. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1969. Dennis served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a past member of Alexander Baptist Church and was an avid golfer. Dennis also enjoyed watching NASCAR and NHRA Drag Racing.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his son, Ryan Cooper of Charlotte; granddaughter, Reese Cooper and grandson, Riley Cooper and two sisters, Glenda Cooper of Ellenboro and Darlene Hooper of Forest City.

The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 4, 2021 in the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mike Connor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
