Diane Ashley

Diane Ashley, age 62, of 496 Hollis Road, Ellenboro, NC, died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Rutherford Hospital.
Diane was born on September 16, 1947 in York County, SC to the late Arvil Sanford and Mattie Mae Ashley Sanford. She worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) for over 40 years and playing bingo was among her life's enjoyments.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Beulah 'Bea' Mae Smiley; two brothers, Bob and Jack.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Starnes, and husband, Robert, of Cleveland County, NC; two sons, John Harvell of Fort Mill, SC and Jonathan Ashley of Ellenboro; two sisters, Helen Smiley of Bostic and Mary Freeman of Fort Mill. She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
