Dickie Wayne Spangler

Dickie Wayne Spangler, age 61, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Dickie was born Monday, February 26, 1962 in Fayetteville, NC to the late Bobby Ray Spangler and Delores Ann Craft Spangler. He worked as a carpenter most of his life and most recently for J & L Designs. Dickie was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed the outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his family. He was of the Baptist faith.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Craft and a nephew, Anthony Spangler, Jr.

     Left to cherish fond memories are his daughter, Tera Spangler Jimerson (Michael) of Forest City; brothers, Michael Spangler of Forest City, Tony Spangler of Forest City, Jack Spangler (Melissa) of Shiloh and a sister, Pandora Whelchel of Forest City; grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Matthew Smith, Kiera Jimerson; aunts, Janice Fleming, Joyce Sturgill, Faye McNeely an uncle, Danny Craft and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

     Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 11^th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Mr. Mark Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

     The family wishes to thank Jason Michael Head and Alitia Wellman for their kindness and care for Dickie and his family during his illness and at the time of his passing.
