Dickie Williams, age 74, of Bostic, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at his residence.
Dickie was born June 25, 1946 in Washington County, Tennessee to the late William Edward Williams and Roxie Ruth Adams Williams. He served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Dickie also served as a deputy sheriff in Virginia for several years and was a long-haul truck driver most of his life. He was an avid dirt track racing fan and was a driver at the Harris Speedway.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Williams.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Abrilla Roque Williams of the Philippines; ex-wife, Diane Williams of Bostic; a godson, Tyler Waterfield of Virginia; three nephews, Keith Williams (Linda), Larry Williams and Lee Williams; sister-in-law, Mary Williams and a host of good friends.
Dickie will be buried at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain at 10:00 am on Friday, November 20, 2020. The Rutherford County Honor Guard will provide military honors.
