Donald Bailey

Donald Lee Bailey, 55, of Ellenboro, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, October 8, 2014, after battling cancer.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Leander Bailey and Stephanie's mama Tina Marie Dayberry Martinez.
A single dad of two, he is survived by his mother Edna Bennett Bailey and Broughton Arledge, son Christopher Bailey and Chris's mom Debra Allen, daughter Stephanie Dayberry and Matt Dillion Graybill, grandson Brentley Graybill, brothers James, Keith, Mark and Craig, sister in laws Martha Hutchins, Lora, Leigh and Sheila, nieces and nephews Stephanie Tomblin, Timothy, Jessica, Joshua, Joseph, Megan, Shanna Bridges and Brandon, great nieces Brooke, Madison, Clara and Faith, great nephews Amos, Nathaniel Lancaster, and several aunts and uncles.
Donald thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone at Habitat Restore and took great pride in serving his community. He loved hanging out with his family and neighbors, gardening, raising small farm animals and driving his Camaro to Myrtle Beach. He had a unique talent for being able to engage in heated debates without becoming angry and readily made friends wherever he went by treating everyone with gentle compassion and respect. He is much loved and will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Darold Crawford officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment in the church cemetery will conclude the service.
