Donald Jones

Donald A. Jones Donald A. Jones, age 83, of Forest City, died Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. Donald was born May 23, 1936 in Franklin County, New York to the late Harvey Azro Jones and Hazel Robinson Jones. He was served honorably during the Vietnam War and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Donald worked in sales management for Curtis Industries for over twenty years and was a member of the Alexander Missionary Methodist Church and of the Catholic faith. He loved animals and was active in caring for rescue dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Vermette and Myra Copeland and his beloved rescue cocker spaniel, Bubba Jones. Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Donellis H. Jones and  Stewart Azro Jones; four daughters, Susan Kuhn, Roxanne Jones, Tami S. McGannon, Michelle Jones and one sister, Esther LaRocque. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In honor of Donald’s wishes, no formal services will be conducted.
