Donald Womick

Donald Floyd "Bo" Womick, age 73, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, August 04, 2007 at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC following an extended illness. Mr. Womick was born September 24, 1933 in Rutherford County to the late Henry Hudson Womick and Pearl Legg Womick. He was raised in Rutherford County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He married Cordie Walker on April 1, 1961 in Gaffney, SC. He attended Harmon Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Vivian Hensley, and a great-granddaughter Crystal Boone.

He is survived by his wife Cordie Womick of the home; step-daughter, Jean Dyer Boone of Boiling Springs, NC; a brother, Carl Ray "Ham" Womick of Caroleen, NC; and a sister Hazel Cannon of Caroleen, NC. He is also survived by his three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
