Donaleen G. Silvers, age 69, of Mooresboro, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Carolinas Continue Care in Kings Mountain.
Born August 31, 1947 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Donald Garren and Hazel Melton Garren. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1965 and a homemaker. She was a past member of Caroleen Baptist Church. Donaleen enjoyed making gifts for her family and taking family vacations. She loved her dogs.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-three years, David C. Silvers; two sons, James Garren and wife, Trisha of Tabor City, NC and Teddy Lovelace and wife, Leslie of Cliffside; two daughters, Pamela Miller and Joanie West both of Anniston, Alabama; two sisters, Lou Ann McKnight and fiancé, Allan Davis of Lawndale, NC and Penny Garcia and husband, Pancho of Reidsville, Georgia; two brothers, Johnny Garren of Garden City, SC and Tony Philbeck and wife, Faye of Rutherfordton. She is also survived by a special niece, Amy Moore of Reidsville, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
