Dorothy Harris

Dorothy 'Dot' Harris, age 79, of 1080 Ellenboro-Henrietta Road, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Hospice House.
Dot was born on June 16, 1930 in Rutherford County to the late S.R. Whitaker and Mammie Wilson Whitaker. She was a member of High Shoals Baptist Church. She worked as a battery filler for Fieldcrest Mills and a waitress for Gardos Restaurant for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Eugene Mullinax and Rochelle Harris; one son, Stanley Mullinax; two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one son, Steve Mullinax of Caroleen; one sister, Rhuleen Petty of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren, Frankie Mullinax of Ellenboro, Chris Mullinax of Forest City and Mikisha Akers and husband, Angel, of Forest City and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews which includes her niece, Glennette "Butch" Wood of Forest City.
