Dorothy Hensley

Dorothy "Dot" Liveret Hensley, age 89, of Caroleen, NC, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born December 4, 1924 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late James Henry Liverett and Vinnie Wilson Liverett. Dot worked at the Caroleen Mill for 46 years before retirement and was a member of Caroleen United Methodist Church. She enjoyed travelling and attending music festivals with her late husband and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of fifty-two years, Ralph J. Hensley; son, Jimmy Hicks; granddaughter, Crystal Hicks and by seven brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Pliaconis and husband, Anthony of Easley, SC and Virginia Greene and husband, James of Gaffney; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Lucy Robbins officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
