Dorothy Henson

Dorothy 'Dot' Henson, age 78, of Henrietta, NC, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Hospice House.
Dot was born December 13, 1933 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Lawson Reynolds and Edna Wilson Reynolds. She worked for Burlington Industries and Cone Mills most her life. She was also a lifetime member of Temple Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School was a member of the choir. Dot enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. She loved the Lord and was a friend to everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Max Henson and two brothers, Billy Reynolds and Leroy Reynolds.
Survivors include her son, Michael E. Henson and wife Deborah of Danieltown Community; one grandson, Shiloh M. Henson and wife, Jennifer of Shiloh Community; one great grandchild, Madison Henson. She is also survived by two brothers, Jimmy Reynolds and wife, Violet of Caroleen and Gary 'Gab' Reynolds and wife, Darlene of Forest City; one sister, Betty Reid of Shelby, NC and eight nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Temple Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Cash and Reverend Sam Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. At other times they will be gathered at 220 New Town Road, Henrietta.
