Earnest Greene

Earnest Greene, age 71, of Rutherfordton, died Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born April 20, 1944 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Clarence Greene and Louise Tessenair Greene. He was self-employed, working in the lawn and tree care business for most of his life. He was a past member of the Gilkey Church of God and Sandy Level Baptist Church. Earnest enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors include one daughter, Danielle Greene of Rutherfordton; two sons, Phillip Greene of Rutherfordton and Anthony Greene of Oregon; sister, Joyce Green and husband, Larry of Spindale; three brothers, Thomas Greene and wife, Bobbie of Charlotte, Ronnie Greene and wife, Faye of Bostic and Keithren Greene and wife, Susan also of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by his former wife, Edith Greene Foy and husband, Johnny of Forest City and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at three o'clock on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Cy Miller and Ms. Nancy Suelzle officiating.
Interment will follow in Sandy Level Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
