Eddie Hardin, age 66, of Ellenboro, passed away Sunday, October 17,2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center from complications of covid, pneumonia.
Eddie was born Thursday, August 11, 1955 in Rutherford County to Shirley Mode Hardin who resides in Ellenboro and the late Robert Wesley Hardin. Eddie worked as a welder for most of his life. He was a member of Harmon Street Baptist Church. Eddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Eddie loved his family and grandkids more than life itself. Eddie had the reputation to know a little something about everything and was always willing to help anybody. He was also an avid fisherman.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of forty-one years, Dwala Gowan Hardin; two sons, Clint and Mitchum Hardin, of the home; sister, Chris Williams (Marty); grandchildren, Hannah Hardin and Bella Perpetua; and a niece Kinsey Scruggs (Preston).
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Harmon Street Baptist Church with Reverend Randy Church and Reverend Wayne Toney officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation because of covid precautions, but he will lie in state for thirty minutes before the service. The family request if you attend the funeral to please wear a mask and practice social distancing, and if you don’t feel comfortable attending the service the family understands.
