Eddie Yelton

Eddie George Yelton, age 46, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 in Forest City. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late William Mills and Margaret Tesseniar Yelton. He was a professional kick boxer/boxer and held a 3rd degree black belt in Karate. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball and football and will be remembered as a beloved father, grandfather and friend. He was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Joshua Lee Yelton of Mooresboro, Jeremy Frank Yelton and Jarred Mills Yelton both of Forest City; one daughter, Jessica Lyn Yelton also of Forest City; two brothers, Harold Yelton of Ellenboro and Ric Yelton of Rutherfordton; two sisters, Janice Morrow of Rutherfordton and Cathy Bennick of Forest City; seven grandchildren, Chloe Yelton, Gracie Yelton, Kendal Yelton, Jaiden Yelton, Sarah Ann Yelton, Marisa Dawn Yelton and soon to be born, Peyton Nicole James. He is also survived by a host of friends.
