Edith Mccraw

Edith Louise Oliver McCraw, age 81, of Mooresboro, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Mrs. McCraw was born in Rutherford County; on July 25, 1926 to the late John D. Oliver and Fannie Adams Oliver. She has been a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. She married Johnnie McCraw on December 14, 1945 in Gaffney, SC. She has been a member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church for over 49 years where she taught Sunday school, GA's and Bible School. She had worked for Reeves Brothers Corporation in Chesnee, SC for over 27 years, retiring as a cloth inspector.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Johnnie McCraw of the home; two sons, Kenneth McCraw and wife Marty of Ellenboro, NC, and Danny McCraw and wife Sherry of Mooresboro, NC; five daughters, Deborah Barker and husband Phillip of Forest City, Janet Arrowood and husband Randy of Mooresboro, NC, Donna Pruett and husband Jimmy of Mooresboro, NC, Karen Carpenter and husband Spencer of Ellenboro, NC and Amy Greene and husband Claude of Gilkey, NC; three brothers, J. D. Oliver of Henrietta, NC, Tony Oliver of Okeechobee, FL, and J. B. Oliver of Hendersonville, NC. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
