Edna Lovelace

Edna Hancock Lovelace, age 67, of 1580 Harris-Henrietta Road, Forest City, died Monday, October 3, 2011 at Hospice House.
Edna was born on January 12, 1944 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Jesse Lee Hancock and Ethel Lee Silvers Hancock. She was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1963 and worked as a pharmacy clerk for Town & Country Drugstore of Taylorsville and The Medicine Box of Forest City for 18 years. She served her Lord faithfully as a pastor's wife to her husband, Cecil, for almost 40 years. She was a member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, was Director of the WMU and a GA Leader. She enjoyed traveling, attending senior activities and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband of almost 49 years, Reverend Cecil Lovelace; an 'adopted' daughter, Sarah Koone and husband, Brian of Forest City; two sisters, Delores Haynes and husband, Bob of Hendersonville and Mildred Penson and husband, David of Bostic; one brother, Jay Hancock and wife, Peggy of Forest City and her beloved pet, Charlie.
