Elbert Tomblin

Elbert E. Tomblin, age 84, of 292 Tanners Grove Road, died Monday, June 1, 2009 at Willow Ridge.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Reverend C.C. 'Lum' Tomblin and Della Morgan Tomblin. He had worked in the textile mills for over 45 years before his retirement and was a long-time member of Spencer Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lynell Jonas Tomblin and by three brothers, L.G. Tomblin, Ronald Tomblin and Charles Tomblin.
Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Rogers and her husband Ken of Spindale and a brother, A. Clyde Tomblin and his wife Janet and a sister-in-law, Shirley Tomblin all of Spindale. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews
