Ethel "Lois" Bennett, age 78, of Whitesides Road, Bostic, NC, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Willow Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center, surrounded by her family.
Born February 15, 1939 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she was a daughter to the late Charles Seay and Mary Ethel Wooten Seay. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Restoration Church of Forest City. Lois had a heart for others and lived out her faith by visiting nursing home residents as an outreach ministry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three step-brothers and one step-sister.
Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Albert Bennett; three daughters, Deborah Miller and husband, Ron of Tidioute, PA, Lois Hobbs of Forest City and Hazel Wyatt and husband, Bill of Simpsonville, SC; three sons, James Bolyard and wife, Chrystal of Forest City, Dwayne Bolyard of Bostic and Leo Bolyard, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Cowpens, SC; half-sister, Gail Keller of Green Creek. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Brian Vibbert, Jamie Packett, Brandon Bolyard, Samantha Bolyard, Jennifer Lowe, Brenna Wyatt, Dawn Keeter, Bobbie Campbell and Joel Gore; seven great-grandchildren, Gracie, Gabriel, Riley, Tyler, Brandon, Grayson, Harper and one great-great-grandchild, Lynly.
The memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Restoration Church of Forest City with Reverend Jerry Hames and Reverend Gary McInnis officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
