Evan Scharf

Evan Daniel Scharf, age 37, of Mooresboro, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at his residence.

Evan was born Tuesday, January 31, 1984 in Queens, New York to Edward Scharf and Laura Prisco Scharf who resides in New York.  He loved music, holidays, sports, especially the New York Yankees.  He enjoyed cooking and was the king of BBQ’s.  Evan liked caring for his elders.  He was always helping others and was loved by his family and will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ralph and Elsie Prisco; an aunt, Amelia Grosso.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving parents; a brother, Michael Scharf (Grace) of New York; uncle, Michael Grosso of Tennessee; cousin, Tracy Reid (Mike Anthony) of Mooresboro; godmother, Carol Ann Schwartz of Pennsylvania; and a special nephew, Logan Scharf.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Deacon Andy Cilone officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
