Faye Melton

Faye Hutchins Melton, age 71, of Bostic, NC, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Hospice House.
Faye was born October 2, 1940 in Cleveland County, NC to the late V.W Hutchins and Essie Waters Hutchins. She was a graduate of Mooresboro High School, class of 1958 and worked as a CNA for Carolina Healthcare for over 15 years. She enjoyed going on trips, growing flowers and animals. She was a strong and honest person.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bobby Ray Melton; one son, Travis Don Melton; three brothers, Everett Hutchins, Steve Hutchins, L.W. Hutchins; three sisters, Geneva Horne, Annie Sue Owens and Lucy May Turner.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana Melton and husband, Tony of Forest City; two sons, Phillip Melton of Forest City and Gerald Melton of Ellenboro; one brother, Bob Hutchins of Mooresboro; two sisters, Sadie Ruth Henson and Dorothy Ray Chapman both of Ellenboro. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Lanny J. Funchess officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
