Flossie C. Harmon, age 87, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born February 1, 1929 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Broadus Cash and Rhode Self Cash. Flossie was a graduate of Cliffside High School, class of 1947 and worked for Cone Mills-Cliffside Plant for many years. She was a member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and sewing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Hogan and Hazel Hogan.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years, Alfred Harmon; one son, Phillip Harmon of Cliffside; four grandchildren, Dylan Harmon, Matthew Harmon, Emily Harmon and Austin Hodge.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Carnell officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service time at the church.
