Frances Byers

Frances H. Byers, age 74, of 186 Byers Road, Forest City, NC, died Monday, August 22, 2011 at Hospice House.
Frances was born on July 28, 1937 in Cleveland County, NC to the late E.L. Hammond and Linnie Evans Hammond. She graduated from Cool Springs High School in 1957 and shared ownership of Hammond's Alignment of Forest City with her brothers. She enjoyed traveling and shopping and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, L.L. 'Pete' Byers and one brother, Don Hammond.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice B. Hoyle and husband Gordon; one son, Shane Byers and wife, Alesia; one brother, Hugh Hammond and wife, Joie all of Forest City. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brandy Jackson, Bricen Hoyle, Waylon Byers, LeAnne Byers, Tyler Brown, Leigh Ann Hill and four great-grandchildren, Harley Jackson, Sarah Brackett, Devin Bradford and Rylan Hill. The family wishes to thank Rita Weatherford for all of her special care.
