Frank Weast

Frank Weast, age 72, of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at his residence.

Frank was born Thursday, April 27, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late Rex Reece Weast and Mary Ella Greene Weast. He was a mechanic for over thirty-eight years and most recently worked at Weast Transmissions in Forest City. Frank was a member of Wilson Baptist Church and enjoyed drag racing and building cars. He had many talents and was known as a “Jack of all Trades.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Cline Weast and a brother-in-law, Dewitt Ledbetter.

Left to cherish fond memories are his sons, Robbie Weast (Jane), Dustin Weast (Emily) and daughter, Christen Michael (Keith) all of Rutherfordton; sisters, Joyce Johnson (Bobby) and Elizabeth “Lib” Ledbetter all of Forest City; grandchildren, Matthew Weast (Tiffany), Sandy Smith (Robby), Jordan Weast (Sabrina), Anna Weast, Averie Weast, Maisyn Weast and Chrisley Michael; great-grandchildren, Carson Smith, Kasen Smith, Hayden Weast, Loretta Weast and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, January 2nd at Wilson Baptist Church with Reverend Curtis McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
