Freda Hare

Freda Hare, age 83, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Freda was born on Tuesday, May 14, 1940 in Castile, New York. She worked as a Dispatcher for the New York State Police at Letchworth State Park, as well as being a hairdresser and caretaker for family and friends. Freda was a creative artist and showed her skill in various types of needlework, painting, and drawing. She was also a great cook, and her family especially enjoyed her Crème Puffs and Buckeyes.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Lawrence “Dewey” Streeter (Linda) of Fort Mill, SC, and Andrew Streeter of Shelby; grandchildren, Rhonda Provalenko, Gabrielle Hope (Brandon), Aaron Streeter, Cassandra Streeter, Evan Streeter, Brianna Streeter, and great-grandchildren, Brooke Hope, Brycen Hope, and Noeh Palencia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Norman James “Jim” Hare; her mother, Edwina Steele; stepfather, Lloyd Steele; son, Randy David Streeter; brother, Ray Steele; and sisters, Joan Hakins, and Janice Wolfer.

Freda’s urn will be buried in the family plot in New York.
