Fred "Freddie" Robinson, Jr.

Fred “Freddie” Robinson, Jr., age 62, of Marion, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Mission Health-McDowell.

Freddie was born Friday, August 12, 1960 in Buncombe County to the late Fred Harold Robinson, Sr. and Nancy Lee Smith Robinson. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and had also served as an Avery County Deputy Sheriff. Freddie drove a commercial truck for several years and most recently worked for Allied Universal Security as a security guard. He enjoyed fishing and telling stories. Freddie was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Freda Cook and brother, Kenneth Bradford.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Thomas Robinson of Forest City, Rebecka Wren of Marion, Sarah Styles of Marion and Gabriel Robinson of Asheville; sisters, Bobby Currie of Burnsville and Elizabeth McHone of Spruce Pine; brother, Benny Robinson of Oklahoma. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Joshua Robinson, Ashton Wren, Kaden Wren and Logen Robinson.

In honor of his wishes there will be no formal services conducted.
