G. Deyton

G.C. Deyton, Jr., age 80, of Caroleen, NC and a resident at White Oak Manor died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
G.C. was born December 29, 1931 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Grover Clinton Deyton, Sr. and Ina Halford Deyton. He worked in textiles for 50 years before his retirement and was a Baptist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rock and gem hunting and was an avid reader.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
Left to cherish his memory are two brothers, Lester Deyton and wife, Catheryn of Mooresboro, Harry Deyton and wife, Kay of Gilkey and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Alan Marsh and Reverend Harold Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in High Shoal Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
