Gail Bailey

Gail Bailey, age 70, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 due to a house fire.

Gail was born Tuesday, May 29, 1951 in Rutherford County to the late G.C. Green and Grace Brindle Green. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1969. She co-owned and operated Bailey’s Rugs for over twenty years. Gail also worked in plastic manufacturing for many years. She was a member of High Shoal Baptist Church. She was an animal lover, enjoyed collecting recipes and dearly loved her husband, kids and grandkids. She will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marilyn Epley, Hope Lunsford and Gay Champion.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of forty-seven years, Doug Bailey; three daughters, Missy Porter (Terry) of Shelby, Tracy Dotson (Scott) of Spindale and Angela Bailey of Forest City; brothers, Ray Green (Donna) of Forest City, Grover Green (Patty) of Mooresboro, Joel Green (Melinda) of Mooresboro and Jeff Green of Forest City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ken Linder officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
