Gary Dye

Gary Dye, age 50, of 1037 Gun Club Road, Bostic, NC, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at his residence.
He was born on September 12, 1958 in Tazewell County, Virginia. He was a resident of Rutherford County for many years and worked in manufacturing. Among his life's enjoyments were playing the guitar, horse riding, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Paul Adams and his step-mother, Laura Dye.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Adams of Bostic and his father, Harold C. Dye of Richlands, VA; two daughters, Marlanea Dye of Cedar Bluff, VA and Heather Dye of Jacksonville, FL; one son, Walter Dye of Bostic; three sisters, Cathy Gehringer of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kim Lowery and her husband Wayne of Bostic and Becky Adams also of Bostic; four step-sisters, Becky Barrett and her husband Joe of Saltville, VA, Judy Merrick and her husband Joe of Jacksonville, FL, Debbey Blythe and her husband Charles of Whiteville, NC and Paula Adams of Hawthorne, FL; one step-brother, Jimmy Ridenour; one grandson, Matthew Walker of Jacksonville, FL and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
