Gene Mode

Gene R. Mode, Sr., age 70, of Seaboard Road, Ellenboro, NC passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the Hospice House in Forest City, NC. He was born September 21, 1937 in Rutherford County to the late Josh Lawrence Mode and Mary Jane Layton Mode. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Mode and Steve Mode and a great grandson William Hudson, III. Gene was a charter member of Forest City Foursquare Church and worked as a spinning technician. He was a wonderful father, husband, and grandfather. He also loved fishing and shooting pool.

He is survived by his wife Maxine Mode of the home, one son, Gene Mode, Jr. and wife Sue of Sandy Mush, NC; one daughter, Anita Mode Fowler and husband Tracy of Ellenboro, NC; four grandchildren, William Hudson, Jr., Elvis Hudson, Raymond Mode, III, and Jonathan Mode; and three great grandchildren, Kinsley Mode, Olivia Mode, and Keagan Mode.
