Gene Wall

Gene Wall, age 79, of 170 Phillips Drive, Sandy Mush, died Friday, August 7, 2009 at Rutherford Hospital.
A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late, Frank Wall and Rachel Lovelace Wall. He worked in maintenance for the textile mills most of his life, having worked for Burlington Mills for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed going to flea markets and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel Bailey; one sister, Exie James and two brothers, Jim Wall and Cicero Wall.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Wall; two sons, Frankie Wall of Caroleen and Danny Wall and his wife, Wendy of Forest City; two brothers, T.W. Wall of Rutherfordton and Ryan Wall of Sandy Mush; his brother in-law, J.W. Byers of Indiana; four grandchildren, Shane Wall, Dana Buff, Chad Wall and Scotty Estep; two step-grandchildren, Mindy Cash and Mitchell Parris; two great-grandchildren and two great-step grandchildren.
