Genell Adair

Genell Harris Adair, age 82, of 118 McBrayer Court, Forest City, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at Hospice House.
A native of Rutherford County she was a daughter of the late Earnest Alfred Harris and Cora Tessinar Harris. She worked in textiles for many years and also worked as a caregiver to the family several years before her retirement. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Walter Gaines Adair, and by two brothers, Jack Harris and Ken Harris.
Survivors include her daughter, Alyson Adair Gragg of Forest City; one granddaughter, Shayana Lail and her husband, Jeremy, of Forest City; one grandson, David Shane Ridings of Forest City; one brother Johnny Harris and his wife, Gearldene of Bostic and one sister, Patsy Cooke and her husband, Hal, of Forest City. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Jayda Lail and Ian Lail and numerous nieces and nephews.
