George Ballard

George Edward Ballard, age 61, of Henrietta, NC, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
George was born on April 27, 1950 in Alexandria, VA to the late George Dallas Ballard and Mildred Harris Ballard. He worked in the retail business most of his life and most recently for Sears and for Driveline Retail Merchandising Services. He was a Methodist. George loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Stephen Ballard.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Beverly Ballard; one son, Shawn Edward Ballard of Henrietta; two grandchildren, Liberty and Jayden Garcia; one brother in-law, Mark McDermott of Bryans Road, MD and two sister in-laws, Brenda McDermott and Jill McDermott also of Bryans Road. He is also survived by many extended family members whom he loved dearly.
