Gerald Short

Gerald Short, age 64, of Henrietta, died Friday, March 16, 2012 at Autumn Care.
Gerald was born July 29, 1947 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Pearlie Short Whisnant. He worked in construction as a welder for many years and was a member of High Shoals Baptist Church. He was also a Past Master of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460 and a Shriner. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donald 'Duck' Short.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Diann Short; one daughter, Tanya Shehan and husband, Rex of Forest City; one step-daughter, Tabitha Langley of Ellenboro and three granddaughters, Shala Barnett and husband, Brian, Emma Grace Langley and Loren Shehan.
