Gerald "Pat" Lowery

Gerald “Pat” Lowery, age 77, of Rutherfordton passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Gerald was born September 16, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Clyde Walker Lowery and Maggie Henson Lowery. He worked as a supervisor at Burlington Industries and the Montgomery Mill in Chesnee. He also owned and operated Lowery’s Lawn and Garden for several years.  Gerald drove the church van and was a staff member at the Church of the Exceptional and was a faithful member of Long Branch Road Baptist Church. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed farming.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis Lowery and Bobby Lowery and an Aunt Ruby Saunders.

Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Trenna Adair (Daniel) of Rutherfordton; special friend and caregiver, Mary Lowery of Spindale; sister-in-law, Carolyn Lowery of Union Mills; granddaughter, Jillian Lee of Spindale; great-granddaughters, Karly Lee and Kylie Arrowood and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jerry Ruppe officiating. Interment will follow in the Spindale City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
