Gertrue Moore

Gertrue Price Moore, age 87, of 351 Hog Pen Branch Road, Mooresboro, NC, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at her residence.
Gertrue was born September 22, 1921 in Polk County to the late Colonel Blandon Price and Carrie Bell Thompson Price. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta and had worked for Burlington Mills for 40 years before her retirement. She was an excellent cook and was known for her infamous potato salad.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jesse Moore and by seven brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Freda Moore of Forest City; two grandchildren, Tamara Hardin of Spindale and Jesse Craig Buckner and his wife, Teresa, of Henrietta; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Honeycutt, Haley Hardin and Thomas Buckner; three great-great grandchildren, Seth Honeycutt, Jacob Hawkins and Aubrie Skinner. She is also survived by one sister, Dorothy McCarter of Spartanburg, SC and several nieces and nephews.
