Gladys Morris

Gladys Hames Morris, age 88, of Forest City, NC died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at her residence.
Gladys was a born March 4, 1922 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Almer Hames and Eva Parris Hames. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to flea markets and was a dedicated NASCAR-Jeff Gordon fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Taylor Morris, Sr.; two sons, Johnny Max Morris and Douglas Edgar Morris: three sisters, one brother and one grandson, Douglas Edgar Morris, Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Claude Taylor Morris, Jr. of Shelby and Paul K. Morris of Forest City; seven grandchildren, Claude Taylor Morris III, Amada Kaye Hudson, Tessa Rae Morris, Stephanie Lynn Morris and John Paul Morris; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Reverend Carlton Hames and wife, Bobbie, of Forest City and one sister Ruby Henson of Forest City.
