Glenda Lee Dills, age 71, of Forest City, NC died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Hospice House.
Glenda was born November 13, 1940 in Spartanburg County, SC to the late William Carter Caldwell and Eula F. Kimbrell Caldwell. She worked as a CNA for Rest Well Home in Rutherfordton for many years and was a member of Sisk Memorial Missionary Methodist Church. Glenda was a collector of coffee cups and was dedicated to donating blood to the Red Cross. She had the honor of being a member of the 'Gallon Club'. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 20 years, Buddy Ray Dills; one brother, Larry Caldwell and a grandson, Hunter Drake Lane.
Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Marty Lane of Cliffside, Derrick Lane of Lenoir, Scott Lane and wife, Tonda of Bostic; three daughters, Crissann Dills and husband, Phillip of Mill Springs, Kay Hardin and husband, Glenn Jr. of Lincolnton, Lisa Coffey and husband, Ted of Bostic; one brother, Joel Caldwell of Lyman, SC. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Sisk Memorial Missionary Methodist Church with Reverend Frank Lewis and Reverend Roger Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Pores Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
