Glenn “Whoop” Bridges, age 77, of Mooresboro, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.
Glenn was born Tuesday, April 25, 1944 in Cleveland County to the late Charles Seth Bridges and Mary Willie Beason Bridges. He was a graduate of Crest High School, class of 1962. Glenn was the owner and operator of B & B Produce for several years and a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Gene Bridges and James Bruce Bridges.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Larry Bridges (Barbara) of Mooresboro; three nieces, Lou Ann Ward, Jennifer Bowen (Steven) and Carla Bridges all of Mooresboro. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and many special great-great nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Trinity Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
Memorial donations are requested to Trinity Baptist Church, Sound Fund or Playground Fund, 746 Trinity Church Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114.
